History

P. DiMarco has been an established family owned business since our company was founded in 1937 by Pasquale DiMarco.  “Patsy”, as he was known by his friends and family, arrived in America shortly after World War I. He was primarily a masonry contractor specializing in flagstone construction and a pioneer who introduced flagstone to the Main Line area.  Patsy took great pride in his work and his reputation for honesty and quality quickly spread.  This philosophy of honesty and quality is still evident within all levels of our company today.

In 1952, son Robert started working for his Dad after serving two years in the military during the Korean War.  Under Robert’s leadership, P.DiMarco was incorporated in 1956.  During this period, our company was primarily a roadwork paving construction firm. With the Philadelphia market expanding, P. DiMarco concentrated its efforts as a bituminous road builder within the residential, commercial and industrial markets.

A highlight of Robert’s realm was the completion of the Boeing Helicopter Plant in 1966 during the height of the Vietnam War. It was crucial that this project be completed within its timeline and P.DiMarco was able to exceed all expectations. Our success on this project was recognized by the Pentagon and the Governor of Pennsylvania. This still ranks as one of our company’s’ proudest achievements.

Today through the third generation of growth, P.DiMarco remains an industry leader providing full site work capabilities satisfying the needs, wants, and expectations of all of its customers. Our company’s capabilities have expanded to include full site work development services including earth moving, utility installation and construction of both flexible and rigid pavements. Together with the industries best management, estimators, supervision, and field personnel, P.DiMarco’s growth has been continuous, profitable, and extremely rewarding as our satisfied customer base continues to grow.
