PAID INTERN OR CO-OP STUDENT, PROJECT MANAGER/ESTIMATOR,
SITE SUPERINTENDENT, PIPE FOREMAN, PIPE LABORERS, EARTHWORK FOREMAN
PAID INTERN OR CO-OP STUDENT
Site contractor in Montgomery County seeking paid intern or co-op student to work with estimating and project management departments. Candidate will work with Senior Estimators to prepare project cost estimates from initial take-off to final buy-out and will also work with Project Managers during the progress of each project. To better understand the components of site construction, the Candidate will work in the field with our superintendents learning:
- Excavating, grading and general earth moving activities
- Trenching for pipe and complete utility installations
- Sewer and water line construction, including the replacement of partial or entire systems
- Roadway construction, including bituminous and concrete paving
- Athletic field construction, including both natural and artificial turf fields
Candidate should be an ambitious self-motivated individual, team player looking to start a career in the construction industry.
Construction career student required (engineering, construction management, etc.). Ability to communicate, think quickly to solve unforeseen conditions, excellent written and verbal skills preferred. Proficient in MS Word and Excel, experience with CAD and earthwork software preferred.
PROJECT MANAGER/ESTIMATOR
Experienced, self-motivated Project Manager/Estimator to estimate and manage commercial, residential, and heavy highway projects. Engineering or construction management degree preferred.
SITE SUPERINTENDENT
Industry experience in scheduling and managing daily operations all facets of site development: earthwork, utilities, grading, stone, and paving. Must be able to work with customers and inspectors.
PIPE FOREMAN
Experience in installation of sanitary, storm, water, and structures. Must be capable to implement change.
PIPE LABORERS
Experience in installation of sanitary, storm, water, and structures.
EARTHWORK FOREMAN
Experience in blueprint reading, grades, and equipment utilization.
