This difficult and labor intense project tested the resources and the resolve of P. DiMarco & Co. Because of the setting of the project below the Four Falls Bridge in West Conshohocken Borough, P. DiMarco had to lower every pound of material down to the site by crane. Working in the winter months, the work conditions were extremely difficult including mud and cold weather.
Beyond the elements, the project required the diversion of the stream during construction. None of P. DiMarco's competitors wanted to bid on the project. |

Sometimes shear human spirit that drives a project to completion. This job proved that P. DiMarco has the expertise, equipment, technology and the manpower to get even the most difficult job done right.
P. DiMarco crews began by cleaning out debris and boulders from the 10' x 10' culvert. To build a wall below the water surface, P. DiMarco temporarily diverted the stream at the base of Mill Creek, keeping two diversion pumps constantly active. The wall was built to protect the stream banks and culvert underneath the Four Falls parking garage. Additionally, the crew reconstructed the eel ladder where Mill Creek meets the Schuylkill River. |
